Ozbrecht 2019 - Iceland & The Baltics
Aalborg, Denmark
August 19

Aalborg is in the northern part of Denmark. It is a port on the southern side of the Limfjord fjord, which runs from the west coast (North Sea) to the east (Kattegat). The Viking Sea entered the fjord from the east, which is very narrow. There were green and red buoys guiding the ship in.

Looks pretty shallow over there!

Lots of wind turbines in the Baltic; some are offshore

View of Aalborg from the ship

Ominous. But it ended up a lovely day

Our guide as we strolled the town

The Utzon Centre, the last building designed by Jørn Oberg Utzon, who also designed the Sydney Opera House

One of the smart things Viking does is get their town walks started early. This old town street will be much busier later

A little Medieval entertainment

Now there's a jovial Medieval fella!
