Arriving in Helsinki

Our excursion for the day was to Porvoo, a small medieval town about 30 miles east of Helsinki
This is the famous view of Porvoo - we'll returned to it later
But first, we walked through the very small Old Town

We finished our time in Porvoo at the Porvoon Paahtimo Bar & Café for coffee as Finnish pastries
We returned to Helsinki. This is Restaurant Saaristo, across the bay from Helsinki on the small island of Luoto

With the Upenski Cathedral as a backdrop, we spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at the Kauppatori Market Square
